I only saw Trower live once and that was when he was in Procol Harum supporting Tull at the Royal Albert, 1970

Still once more than me. Was rather unfairly dismissive of him for years, regarding him as a Hendrix copyist and not adding anything to the work of the master. Have now seen the light and appreciate his work.

I'm drawn to introspection and slower paced numbers. In my first Our Price during the week we took equal turns on the music played. It was not long before the staff drew attention to my choices with cries such as "Get ready for John's misery hour!"
