8 is Nellie McKay, then.

I had no idea she made a Doris Day covers album

FWIW, I think that the comparison was misleading, because unlike DD, McKay is a terrific songwriter (I really love her debut a lot).

Oh, and I know 15 too - it suddenly clicked, thanks to the clue - but I'll shut up for another while.

Oh my other hint was going to be she likes to walk her dog.

Yes It's Nellie - I've seen her a number of times over the years. In the early days she just brought some piano books and her notes and would tell stories and decide what to pay. She played a museum once and my friend and I got a tour of the museum with just her and the curator. She is quite funny.

I love that first album too.

Excellent! Yes you are correct.

Zoom - told me about the This Is Not This Heat show in 2019 and was glad I went great show. Added to my list of seeing live members on that Soft Machine Triple Echo booklet

I reckon 14 might be Anglagard?

In fact I’m sure it is.

Yes Sir! Anglagard played a show in 2015 in NJ which I found out about the night before the show.
Great show. Saw them several years before at NEARfest. Great band wish they did more.

Yo La Tengo

yes
 I've only been a fan for the past 5 or 6 years. I've really enjoyed their hanukkah shows.
As a bonus saw them this year and anyone know these guests?

The band didn’t usually have go- go dancers they were there for the whole festival.

Freiberg is rather smallish I think - and so is Dino Valente, another guy I was thinking of.
