Incidentally, my mate Trevor is in the arch directly below Danny's double bass.

Three blokes - he is in the middle....!!!!

he still goes on about it 43 years later...

Good album.

I have possessed a mixture of Pentangle compilations and original albums.

Quite a few of these tracks appear on most 'best ofs' featuring the band, not surprisingly.

I wonder if he might have been at the same venue to see Ginger Baker's Airforce?

You might want to ask him some time, if you have not already done so.

Probably just me, but I find the band's eclectic mix of styles works against them much of the time. Several of the albums seem more like a good compilation of 'folk/blues from the Soho sound' as opposed to the effort of one band (unlike Trees, for example).

This album is more cohesive than others, I find.

The "Lyke-Wake Dirge" is a traditional English folk song listed as number 8194 in the Roud Folk Song Index. The song tells of the soul's travel, and the hazards it faces, on its way from earth to purgatory. Though it is from the Christian era and features references to Christianity, much of the symbolism is thought to be of pre-Christian origin

Don't blame him!

Have I ever mentioned my mate Bunny, who's fist is the highest on the single cover of Eddie and the Hotrods's Teenage Depression single?

He's not forgotten it.
