About four years from starting my Saturday job in W.H. Smiths. Think I started at around £3.20, it was certainly enough to buy an album a week (with staff discount) and have enough left over to go to the pub.

I love how they were never content to stick with one main riff per song, and were always changing the feel, the riff, the volume at different points in a song. Very prog of them.

The problem is when lesser bands try it - they can't even come up with a decent principal riff, and once they try and get fancy and diverge midsong, it is just embarrassing.

I won't mention any names in case they are listening in and it spoils their evening.
