"Not 'arf" as Fluff would say

Doob! Should have used that myself.

Both Fluff and Peel below Alexis Korner for me, but all three excellent purveyors of music.

Yes - no filler there!

A delight

Back to the riff machine

Rick Wakeman guesting (was in the next studio recording Topographic Oceans)

kath: Fluff named after BBC radio disc jockey Alan "Fluff" Freeman who was one of the few radio folk in Britain to play Sabbath's music on-air.

I loved Fluff Freeman much more than John Peel

Imagine having YOUR NAME on a Sabbath track.

You would never feel sad depressed or low again.

"What's that Sabbath track that's all about drunken fighting, debauched sex, and annoying the neighbours with loud music?"
"You mean 'LMG/Doobs' ? Yeah, it's a monster track!"

Killing Yourself to Live - great title- it probably sums up Ozzy state of mind at the time who himself admits was 'unravelling'

Monster riffs with an awesome bass line

The first time I saw Sabbath was on the same bill as Jethro Tull and Ten Years After - London Lyceum

ten shillings (10/-) 50 pence post decimalisation!

Early 1971

[I'm sure you've heard that story and the Phil Lynott hit. Sorry  ]

I love how they were never content to stick with one main riff per song, and were always changing the feel, the riff, the volume at different points in a song. Very prog of them.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

Spot on.

That's what put them above all the rest for me

[and by 'rest' you can pick who you like!]
