BCB favourite tracks - Bruce Springsteen RESULTS!!

Postby Brickyard Jack » 03 Oct 2021, 11:00

So my wife just commented that Thunder Road was Bruce's best song so I thought we would have a check.

We have done a few of these before, usually with lists of 20 favourite tracks, and we allocate 24 points to a number 1 and 5 points to a number 20. I appreciate people may not know that many Springsteen songs, so let's say PM me with your favourite 10 Springsteen tracks IN ORDER and I will calculate the numbers to work out BCB's fave Springsteen. If you want to send 20 that would be great. I also appreciate people may not be interested in Bruce, but let's see if we can get more entries than the Kylie poll.

I only like "Sandy" and only as performed by Hollies.

I did wonder if you would send 20.

Overall it is probably more fun if you pm lists rather than posting here, because then there is more of a sense of revelation when the results come out - but it is not a big deal.

Sorry I'd love to participate but I don't know ten Springsteen tracks

Manfred Mann's Earthband did one I recall...

Not a huge fan (though I like the first four a lot). But I did manage to come up with 20. Just PM'd.

I only know a few of his albums, but I'll give it a shot:

The River
Because the Night
Born to Run
Independence Day
Blinded by the Light
Rosalita
4th of July Ashbury Park (Sandy)
Fire
Point Blank
Hungry Heart
Thunder Road
It's hard to be a Saint in the City
Jungleland
The Promised Land
Spirits in the Night
Glory Days
Born in the USA
Nebraska
Cadillac Ranch
One Step Up

Really struggled after Jungleland.

VOTE RIGGING SCANDAL!!!!!!!!

Rother votes twice for Empty Sky

Though he botched it by giving them low points.

A bit like in the US election, the earliest returns had good showings for songs like Inceident, but a couple of boxes under the desk were full of votes for more widely popular tracks.
