Saw both the reunion tours, they were a lot of fun, he wasnt in best of health but they were great gigs. Love that Quo album from '74, their heaviest record and full of Lancaster/Parfitt songs rather than Rossi. Alan sang a fair few, they were special back then.

I always regard that as Lancaster's album, where he really took the reins and they delivered one of their best albums. I always felt he should have had more songs included as his tracks were often among the best. Daughter, Umleitung, Someone's Learning, A Year, Softer Ride, Backwater, Broken Man, Is There a Better Way, Stones, Over the Edge and Mountain Lady are all top songs he wrote or co-wrote.

I'll be playing the Quo album in his honour this week for sure
