I like a bunch of Ryan Adam’s albums and some whiskey town and the cardinals stuff. He also has some junk and he is a dick. Did some nasty shit to a bunch of women musicians .

I saw him live around the time of Heartbreaker and Gold. He was great for about four or five songs and then got too drunk to be coherent.
I quite like a few of his songs but I don't get excited by them. A talent, for sure, but a second division talent in my eyes. About on a level with Nick Lowe.
I didn't know about that and I had to look it up. He's never seemed very likeable and this doesn't really surprise me. Another reason not to like him though.

Exactly my experience, though the night I saw him - at Brixton in 2002 - he was already drunk when he came onstage.
He played an hour of tuneless dirges, none of which I enjoyed or recognised, then played a *blistering* version of The Strokes' Last Night and collapsed drunk into the drumkit
I left
Never bothered since.
Complete Ramones Mp3 set on its way

I saw twice in 2003 and agree he went down hill as the show went on. However, I've seen him a few times in the 2010's and liked his shows.
I like he had pinball machines on his stage set up.
