Although they have a rich heritage, the Russians' film output has not traveled well. I must have seen fewer than 20, and I have seen a lot of stuff. And yes, I fell asleep to ALL the Tarkovskys, so naturally I have left them out.

i am slightly better at russian novelists, but that's becuz my ma was a freak for em. my ma had the cynical side that was all "suffering is the origin of consciousness" or whatever the orginal quote is. my ma was not exactly tiptoe-thru-the-tulips, i however, was. mwhaha.
let's just say i was and am a mix.
