Amazingly, a few years ago I bought this 4LP set for just over a tenner. Some might say I was robbed, I say it was a bargain.

Never understand the dislike for this lot, they(he) created many great songs. Perhaps it was because they became massively popular.

Saw this going cheaply the other day (SDE) but gave it a pass as I already had the original plus the fact that Derek and the Dominoes was very probably the worst gig I ever attended. They were atrocious, to the point of being embarrassing - I left early. Stays in the memory unfortunately.

I bit at the SDE offer as I have a battered copy of the original and I like the album, it seemed a real bargain at 30 odd quid.
Sad to hear that your gig experience of them was so poor. They were a little before my 'gig going time' (I was 7 in 1970) and I'd always wished I'd seen them. Perhaps not so much now after your live review

You didn't miss much at all, think it was their only UK tour and it was reported that most of them had 'flu and were high on drugs, so you can why the gig was so poor.

Needs a play every now and again. Well ahead of the competition at the time.
