The Capital. I don't usually care for gov't buildings, but this one had a lot of character.

I loved the shady neighborhood between S. Congress and S. 1st. - great for walking off a hangover.

Well done, Rita!

My jolly up dream would have been to be in one of those houses between S. Congress and S. First and to have a big party there on the porch and in the yard. Maybe in another decade. :x

You're a bubblegum soda water early adopter.

First of all, I agree. I laughed out loud.
Secondly, however: look at that shirt! The dude is a HIPPIE. Conclusive proof.

Good grief. I look fat. I blame it on the delicious pancakes at the Driskill.

That shirt isn't so much hippie, though, as it is late-60's Monkees chic. A hippie would be wearing some kind of flowing Indian shirt and a vest with fringe.

Walk In My Shadow wrote:(I wasn't gonna mention the Texas cheese steak we had at the airport but there you go)

I had the nastiest food (not in a good way) I've had in decades in the Phoenix airport on the way to Texas and it too was a "philly cheese" steak sandwich. I didn't captitalize it because it's far from deserving.
It was why I decided I needed to save some brisket for Monday at the Austin Airport. I was passing through Phoenix again and there was no way I'd be eating there. I know airport food is supposed to be expensive and gross but that was an insult to airport food.

Sounds like you had a great send off meal Yves.
