Nothing to do with zoomb's project, but I didn't know where else to put this. A detail from the front cover of the November 30, 1968 issue of Record World (a now-long-defunct trade magazine roughly along the same lines as Billboard):

Given that it's a "Sleeper Pick" it's a shame they didn't note the b-side - "Why Are We Sleeping?"

RIP Zoom glad your suffering is at an end

Indeed.

I think we would all agree that this thread needs to be transferred to the 'Classic threads' section

All those in favour say aye!

I'd love to move it if I could figure out how. Perhaps an admin who actually knows what they're doing?

By the way, wondering about this:

zoomboogity wrote:In what I assume will be the closing chapter in this little saga, two more of these people will performing in LA later this month: Charles Hayward (This Is Not This Heat) and Percy Jones (Brand X). As my cousin has a birthday coming up, and his son has turned out to be quite the musical prodigy - I mean, seriously, how many 16-year-olds can improvise a song on the piano on a Keith Jarrett level (not the style, so much as the level of ability),no exaggeration - this will look nice on their wall.

Did this come to pass? Is this where it is now? And if any more autograph chances come up, is there someone with access to it? Might be appropriate for the project to go on.

Bob, do you know?

Yes both Charles Hayward and Percy signed
PM from Richard:

"I had someone else get Charles Hayward's sig, he's going to Brand X tonight"

I want to keep this great thread alive too - next step for me will be to get a photo collection together of the musicians I've got photos of.

OK, I don't seem to have the permissions to move this thread. Either that, or I haven't a clue how to do it. Can someone who knows what the hell they're doing please move it to Classic Threads?
