Really enjoy A -a German band from the early 70's that only made 1 album apparently, really nice atmospheric track always appreciate a bit of mellotron and when that sax comes in near the end it's the icing on the cake. B obviously talented musicians but not my cup of tea at all.

A was made in the 1970s. It's nothing great, but it's got some cool passages, doesn't stay in one place, and doesn't overstay its welcome. And it makes a pleasant sound, which I'm finding almost everything from that era does.

B is interesting music, and they're certainly all very talented, but the video of them looking a bit too pleased with themselves kinda ruins the effect for me. Like most modern prog I'm finding plenty to respect/admire, but little to love.

B has great players for sure. yes, interesting, different, grew on me as it went along.

but i'm goin for A. closer to home, with gweetar after my own sick heart. this track takes me back to my shroom-laced, blacklight-poster years of my wayward yute, mwhaha. ahhh, fond (partial) memories.

Missing Link starts off promising.

Some nice instrumentation - tasty guitar, punctuated with organ - I like that.

Not sure that the vocals are strong enough. He's no Lee Jackson.

Oh, I like the mellotron in the second half with delicate acoustic simmering away.

And some sax (I like a bit of sax - very nice)

Yes good stuff of a robust nature - I enjoyed that. Thanks

Electrik GEM it got my attention from the start and it was different but also very robust and extremely good.

Yes, enjoyable and has the edge

A starts as the kind of prog I dislike and then magically becomes the kind I like after the first minute. B is an interesting fusion of Eastern sounds and more interesting to me overall.

B is so good to my ears it would trounce most of my own entries for the Cup!

B is an absolute smorgasbord of unconnected instruments. A cacophony of nastiness.
A has an almost Bowie vibe, particularly at the end.

I agree with pcqgod that the first minute of A was not too promising but it got much better from then on and I ended up enjoying it.

I loved the exuberant joy of B, and the vocals and eastern touches made for a busy but exciting mix with a nice gallic finish at the end. Good stuff.

another good match but I'll take B

Two very enjoyable songs, Elektric GEM has the edge though. A lot of fun.

I enjoyed both but B's very different from my norm; the fact it's different and I enjoyed it must mean it nicks the vote.

Some nice bits in A, but the singer is totally inept!!

B is another matter.

Information is scarce, but it seems that GEM stands for Grand Ensemble Méditerraneen and for powerful imaginary electric folk music embracing influences from all around the Mediterranean.

Very intense and exciting, with a stunningly beautiful coda.

It can only be B

My goodness. B is like Le Mystere De Prog Bulgare and keeps the glorious noise up.
A is a bit pedestrian in comparison bit is good too....

a- liked the beginning and kept my interest throughout . Nice 70’s vibe .

B- interesting sound and early on had an echolyn sound, then turn in another interesting sound. The musicians looked bored but I’ll let that go. I’ll got with the fresher sound
