A suffers from everything seeming to come from the same place. I can see it's a personal list and can applaud that, but I can't get with a lot of it, obvious exceptions like JB, ABBA and Steely Dan notwithstanding.

This one's much closer, so I'm doing a recount. Provisionally, I have it as A 36, B 34.

As you may have guessed, B was Matty Red Sox. It was a very good match up between two excellent lists, so it's fitting the result was close. Five more songs from A, please!

Interesting strategy, to put songs you've never heard before on your list!

;)

Tough one, Matty. This was an excellent list and should have been in the finals.
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Ahhhhh two votes. That's what kills, I didn't lose to a bad list, I lost to a good one, but I still think my was more varied in a good way. I also laughed at some comments... my favorite being Brian's in the first round, implying that I don't listen to jazz or the blues, that my Son House and Lee Morgan tracks were vote getters, not what I listen to. I also thought that the person who claimed that I some how got the idea to add Death from them was far off, I had them penciled in early on, almost using them last year. Once I started using Japanese rappers (check out RIP SLYME), I knew I had to add James Booker (and a great one at that with no recognition at all, Philistines) and totally tip my hand as to who I was. Well, the quarter finals again this year, I'm no Mike Boom, but I am really glad that a lot of folks loved the music and hopefully a few folks checked out some of the more obscure tracks... but jeez, train kept a rollin' losing to sing sing sing sure hurts.
the Eagles suck.

No the good lists went out two rounds ago, I had a fucking awesome list. ;) Now none of you may have this

or Long Island's own

or the recent tv theme song...

or the great blues artists I've been championing... my first five for next years cup are set... the same way my first five on this list were from my next five from when i got dumped from the Qfinals last year by mighty mike boom. 2012, bring your A game, folks. I may take the time to study this thing, the modernist seems to have figured out a good semi-formula, and I may decide to win this fucker next year!
