I have to go for A because of the brilliant Candi Staton track, one of my very favourite tunes. Some good picks on both lists, but I have to say that there's a fair few that I know not at all.

B - Witchi Tai To and Monkey Man are solid gold choices.

Actually you seem to have found some Japanese indie/metal hybrid! :D

Not much in them, but B it is.
It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.

A has two I really liked; Candi Staton & the Slickers, B has three; Harpers Bizarre, Aretha Franklin & Richie Havens.

Both have things that make me happy and both make missteps. I can't be bothered choosing.

I make it 24 - 26 in favour of B, but I'm going to recheck.

EDIT - I now think it's A 24, B 27. That's clear enough - A was Brassneck.

Brassneck was A in the original tie too. It was a good list, actually.

Thanks Martha and Campbell and for everyone else who voted for my list. It's the furthest i've got in the competition, apart from winning the ill-fated plate, and i went out in a tie break to a competitor who lives and breathes the competition,, so it's probably for the best!

Compared to many on here my taste in music is limited indeed, so it was heartening that so many enjoyed my party soundtrack ;)
