Just out of interest, would a list featuring an all-white or all-female line-up be seen as "gimmicky" or "token"? The problem with B is that, given the theme, the goods just ain't good enough. A is still prospering.

My main problem with B is less its theme than the slightly cynical way it played safe with its first ten, since then it has really spread its wings and from 12 onwards is hugely invigorating stuff. Of its new five, it's great to hear that Tim Maia track and I particularly enjoyed that Yezeme Sew track.
A is also improving, and its new five are probably its best yet. Always good to see Egyptian Tomb although I think Nev Sharp should get the credit for popularising that. A does slightly sag in the middle though and so, after much head scratching and mind changing, I'm going to go..
