A case of forgiving the naff and trying to find the gems here. Cale, Welch and Miles just about clinch it

Both lists have some wheat and much chaff in equal measures...

A, I think, though it's more solid than spectacular.

I have it 35-35. I'll do a page-by-page, though any other counts would be very welcome.

After doing the page by page I agree that B has the advantage, 34 - 35. But I'll wait for a third party to confirm this before announcing the result.

EDIT - I see Moddie's already provided that confirmation. I think this is good enough now. Anyway, A is Magilla.

Hoist by my own petard...

I suppose I was lucky to have gotten this far and I had to go through a tie-breaker in the previous round. I thus decided that if I had to endure a tie-breaker, then I'd be true to my tastes and stand or fall on my indie leanings, hence the below five being added.

Marianne Faithfull- Witches' Song
Modern Lovers - Hospital
Nick Cave - There She Goes, My Beautiful World
Spiritualized - All Of My Thoughts
My Bloody Valentine - Several Girls Galore

They very narrowly got me through and I only narrowly lost this round (to a certain extent, that's a blessing in disguise, going through another tie-breaker would've been insufferable).

For what it's worth, had I gotten through my next five would've been:

Culture - Black Starliner Must Come
Keith Jarrett - Country
The Sonics - Psycho
Poloyphonic Spree - It's The Sun
Arvo Part - Tabula Rasa

Anyway, congratulations B and good luck in the next round.
