There's another good story about him nonchalantly jumping over a railing into a hotel swimming pool a floor down. Anything for a laugh!

Out and about in and around Honiton today, loads of Lib Dem placards and not a single solitary COnservayive one to behold.
It means nothing of course but it cheered me up (how sad is that?)
I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

Cranfield University has two campuses: the main campus is at Cranfield, Bedfordshire, and the second is at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom at Shrivenham, southwest Oxfordshire. The main campus is unique in the United Kingdom (and Europe) for having its own airport – Cranfield Airport – and its own aircraft, used for teaching and research

It rings a bell - I think Douglas Bader trained there ( and lots of other RAF pilots)

Edit - no, he was trained at Cranwell. An easy confusion!

Oh yes, it certainly is. And the menu is wide and awesome. Dozens and dozens of choices when you walk into one of the stores. From Sativas to Indicas to Hybrids, loose or pre-rolled, low and high priced. Lots and lots of choice. And the outlets are not that hard to find either. There are two within easy walking distance of where I am and a few more just beyond that. Knowledgeable staff always there to help you find what you "need". I love it.

They are about to gain a very regular client.

If you’re feeling it, you can sing ‘Monkey Pox’ instead of ‘Funky Boss’ and it still sounds great.

It has just recently been discovered that a house-sized asteroid is set to swing right by the Earth sometime tomorrow, and pretty close by I'd say, about 55,000 miles. Luckily, it's small and is not expected to cause any trouble, but it makes you think (dinosaurs anyone?)

All I can say it's that it's been nice knowing you. ;)
