A Gift To Remember
You don’t always have the right words, but you can still give them goosebumps. Name a Roach for your Valentine, because roaches are forever.

IMPORTANT
Warning: Stamps that say '1st' or '2nd' class are going to become unusable from 31 January 2023
Royal Mail is shaking up the rules on stamps, so if you've got a stash that say '1st' or '2nd' class on them then by 31 January 2023 you'll no longer be able to simply stick 'em on a letter and use them.
This is because Royal Mail is moving to a new barcode system, which these stamps don't have.

Americans don’t hire people to wash their windows!
I asked my neighbour if she could recommend a window cleaner, and she gave me the brand name of a product. I said no, you know, a window washer person. She said a what now?
Bloody hell!

So THAT'S why you see so many crumpled bodies lying outside American houses. With damp cloths in their hands.

Re: Post something you've learnt today
Someone from an advertising firm delivered this pitch:
"This woman goes into the shower, rubs soap in her arse, then puts her fingers in her face and has a good smell, and it smells like shit and so she doesn't want to smell like shit, and then BINGO, that's where our product comes in!"

The word:
Bildungsroman
In literary criticism, a Bildungsroman is a literary genre that focuses on the psychological and moral growth of the protagonist from childhood to adulthood (coming of age), in which character change is important. The term comes from the German words Bildung ("education") and Roman ("novel")

Devon and Cornwall Police have 3600 officers. That doesn’t seem very many. The Met has 43,000 and Police Scotland has 17,000.

Lidl are opening a new store in Galway in the ROI. It’s next door to an Aldi.
This sign is facing the Aldi store.

I think it is policy to open as close to each other as possible. In Wycombe they were across the road from each other. The new Aldi in Barnstaple has opened about 200 yards from the Lidl which opened last year.Samoan wrote:Lidl are opening a new store in Galway in the ROI. It’s next door to an Aldi.
