And what exactly would anyone want to 'know'? If anything catches my senses then I'll give it the thrice over. Simple as.
Hates: Oasis and ilk, 'Fantasy footie' fans who drool over a 'presser', lemming television (apart from Coronation Street), more as I get it.

Like the first one, nice tension points and glacial shifts. The second one is indeed very Reich-ian, Electric Counterpoint. Cheers for them! And welcome!

Hi everyone! I'm Olivier, from Belgium, stopping by because I've recently dived back into prog rock and wanted to know what was going on in the community now, what's good, what isn't, what's not to miss.
Apart from that, I like travelling, ship models, and have very chauvinistic taste in beers.
Have a nice week-end!

Muffley here. No idea what my password is on my other account.
Re: The Newbie Introduction Thread
Would just like to tell whatever mod that disapproved my post on the bicycles thread for the utterly bizarre reason of apparently promoting a product that he/she can go fuck themselves. Thanks!

Re: The Newbie Introduction Thread
We get up-to 20+ spam accounts every day trying to post crap on this board. If one of the admin has gone through them quickly and accidentally deleted one then that's a mistake (and a fairly easy one to make).
A polite question would have sufficed. There's no need to be so rude.

Re: The Newbie Introduction Thread
You get 20 spam accounts a day impersonating a current member? Doubtful.
My rudeness is quite apt, as a simple PM could have cleared up any confusion, but I realize that might take a little effort and competency on mod end of things.
Not sure how my post was seen as shilling anyway. Because I mentioned the upgrades I've made to my bike, or perhaps that I had the audacity to refer to the high-end gravel bike I just took for a spin yesterday? Whatever...

Re: The Newbie Introduction Thread
Actually, what Prof says is 100% true. I'm sure I've done it myself. Posts that require approval come in in very large number at times, and it's extremely easy for one to slip through the cracks. But by all means, if you had to start a new account because you forgot your password, blame it on the person doing a tedious, thankless job for free rather than yourself.
On the bright side, by being so unnecessarily cranky about it, you have definitively proven you are the real Muffley, so welcome back!

Re: The Newbie Introduction Thread
It seemed pretty silly is all. It's not as if I posted links to Trek or some shit like that. It's a bicycle thread. I talked about bicycles. Lately I've been a bit obsessed with my bike ,reading up on components / upgrades, etc.
I dunno, that certainly felt to me like the proper thread to discuss that sort of thing, regardless if I was Pres Muffley or not. But thanks for the warm welcome back.

My point was, if it's in a stack of 20 posts up for approval, it's not necessarily going to be scrutinized properly or read carefully. It's a mistake and an understandable one for those of us who know what the job of mod actually entails. Which is mostly dealing with spammers and fielding complaints. If you don't like the job we're doing please feel free to volunteer for it yourself. I'd happily give up my spot.

Re: The Newbie Introduction Thread
I get it. A mistake was made. I won't be starting any conspiracy threads regarding the error, so don't worry. Just seemed like someone might be a little too eager in using their apparently burdensome mod powers.
