He always was good value, and had some outstanding roles.

I can't help thinking he never said no.
I kept thinking "swim as far as you can, swim as far as you can".

I liked him in Klute. Great interaction with Jane Fonda. No other notable memories.
I think he was doing the dirty with her at the time.

Oh! Invasion of the Body Snatchers!! I was as stoned as a Pakistani feminist when I watched it, so don't remember much, except that the end almost scared the shit out of me. Red eyes and finger pointing or something. It's still a bit vague. Must have been a rough night.

The wife's a big fan. She likes ugly people. Lucky me.

Kelly's Heroes at the City Cinema was a bastion of birthday party treats in the mid 70s according to my slightly unreliable memories. Then off to the City Cafe for a slap up meal afterwards.

But Oddball was fucking fantastic

No more negative waves....

Woof woof woof!

And when Clint goes up to him to find out why he has stopped and asks him what he is doing:

I’m drinking wine and eating cheese, and catching some rays, you know."

Then he asks him why he doesn't fix it.

I only ride em I don't know what makes em work

Probably only went once or twice to watch it but it seemed like a dozen times.

Slightly off topic, We had one Black guy at our school ( and one Indian guy Ameet ) , John Darbyshire, he was adopted. He was into films and film themes were the only music he really listened to. He was obsessed with Eastwood and quoted him a lot - Butt out hustler, from this film was one of his favourite quotes.

He went to Newcastle to art school after A levels, I always wondered what happened to him when he hit city life after being brought up as the only Black guy on Anglesey, it must have been very odd. I never remember him getting any racist hassle although I am sure he probably did, but he was as hard as nails and played for the school rugby team so that would have disueded most dickheads from having a go locally.
Moorcock, Moorcock, Michael Moorcock, you fervently moan.
