Yvette Cooper or ANGELA! for PM. Starmer is just so lacking in personality. He's decent but weak. At least he hasn't started rolling his sleeves up like Rishi to indicate he's "working hard".
We also need a good private detective to find these new GP's who are going to be working from the 100 new GP practices the Tories are going to build. We haven't got enough GP's to work in existing ones at the moment ( not to mention the 450 GP pracices that have shut since Cameron)

YC was on the telly this morning saying she wouldn't rule out sending asylum seekers abroad. I don't see a huge difference between the stance of both parties on any of the major issues, really.

But I'd always vote Labour and never Tory - and Copehead has already summarised the reasons why.

People have been saying for a while that Starmer has been appealing to the right wing voters and will adopt a more left-wing stance when in power. I'll believe it when I see it.
A Labour Govt should be a shoe-in. so do you hold your nose and vote for the least worst option or vote for neither of the main parties and have a clear conscience?

Carol Vorderman wants us all to work together to stop the Tories, and here’s how https://stopthetories.vote

(Thanks to Stewart Lee for the link - it's from his FROM THE STALINIST WOKE DIKTATORSHAFT GULAG OF Stewart Lee mailing list)

Tip: his live music recommendations in these emailshots - he doesn't do any socials etc - are excellent.

I think Sunak's middle name must be 'Kamikaze'

What gets me are the politicians willing to do the media rounds afterwards, the ones who must have no sense of dignity or shame at all. "Well, technically the prime minister did jab a hot branding iron into the child's face, but he's apologised and so we should move on. Would Labour refuse to set an old man on fire, I don't think so..."
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Farage says "I am the leader of the opposition" and wants a debate with Starmer.

He really is a git, and a manipulative and dangerous one.
Starmer is still the leader of the opposition; Sunak is still PM; and Farage is still a six year old who likes breaking things.

But it's a debate I wouldn't mind watching, even though British politics is quite insignificant on the global stage, these days.
I don't agree with anything the man stands for, but he can be entertaining.

Farage is a pissy little slimeball who's largely responsible for Britain's standing on the global stage. Did you hear his interview with Mishal Hussain? The man can't take the pressure of any kind of direct questioning, he has nothing but racism and bigotry to offer.

In some countries that would virtually guarantee a person becoming the nominee for a certain party.

Latest poll from Savanta has the Tories on 53 seats, Lib Dems on 50 and Farage not getting in.
That would be hilarious.

Oh aye - and Sunak losing his seat.

We can dream

But giving an authoritarian weasel like Starmer a massive majority probably isn't a good idea.

It turned Blair from "pretty straight kinda guy" into a massive messianic prick in double quick time and he had Gordon Brown to stomp him back down occasionally.
