Michael Gove

Stepping down this election.

When the history of the last ten years is written from an objective view, the malign and destructive influence of Gove will be a significant feature. Every aspect of his political career has promoted division and fear in the population. In every government role he has put his own personal views ahead of the research and evidence available to him. Famously in the Brexit campaign when told experts considered remaining in the EU would be better for Britain he said "we are a bit tired of experts", essentially establishing Tory policy for the next 8 years. No talent, no understanding, yet he has dragged the UK to the brink.
I kept thinking "swim as far as you can, swim as far as you can".

I'll take the lad over Dame Andrea Leadsom, who is also standing down, any day....!

Kenny G may never have happened.
