Is the pope a catholic...?

Postby Santa C » 21 Dec 2022, 15:27

Is the pope a catholic?

Do bears shit in the woods?

What we really want to know is:

'Does the pope shit in the woods?'

Well....?

What phrase do you use, if any?

Blighty?

Elsewhere?

My grandad used to say, of something that was out of the ordinary, that it was, and I translate, "rarer than a pope's shit when he's constipated" ("plus rare que d'la merde de pape quand il est constipé!").

Hope this helps.

Though I fail to see how it would.

Talking popes, my local Polish church - who had the police called out to them when they ignored the first Easter lockdown as it was packed to the gunwales with maskless congregants - have a statue of the Polish Pope Saint.
That's great but it's the size of a 10 year old boy. I often want to lean over the fence and pat his head.
Nonsense to the aggressiveness, I've seen more aggression on the my little pony message board......I mean I was told.

There’s that Rowan Atkinson/ Kate Bush duet from the first Comic Relief show - “Do bears sha-la-la in the woods?”
Which is full of phrases like this.
I kept thinking "swim as far as you can, swim as far as you can".

In my experience, the religious affiliations of the Pontiff and the sylvan defecatory habits of ursines are generally invoked together

Or yet, what makes a witch's tits twitch?

One wonders.
