So, what exactly are you good at? Or not good at?

I'm pretty good at recycling stuff, as often as possible re-using before recycling. In the end, my weekly recycling bag is always much larger than my garbage bag. I still produce way too much garbage, but I'm trying to get better at that. So, I'm fairly happy with myself in this area but of course, there's room for improvement.

I'm not very good about eating properly though. I hardly ever eat in restaurants and I am a fairly good, if basic cook. But I'm a lazy bastard and often cut corners (by not cooking that broccoli to complete my plate for instance) as well as waiting and waiting for no good reason before I head to the kitchen to cook something decent. I sometimes end up eating crap while there are lots of better things to eat in my fridge. I really need to improcve on this. Eating properly is important. No question about it.

So, what do you consider yourself to be good at? And/or, where do you feel you need to improve?

Me too. I'm not too picky.

Positive Passion wrote:Good at making caramel shortbread.

Interesting. Never tried those but I just might. I'm good at zucchini and banana breads. Getting better at blueberry muffins.

One of my pet peeves. I hate drinking water. I keep it on hand, always hoping, but I find it "boring".

Pretty much me to a T

I'm good at selectively quoting!

Interesting. Of course, I grew up as a little frog. I, like the rest of my family, was into french language crosswords and pretty good at it if I must say. Then, I became engulfed in the anglo world. Crosswords followed, leaving behind the french to discover the anglo. After a while, I became fairly good at those. About 7 years ago, I reverted back to a mostly franco environment. Picked up the mots croises once again. I had forgotten everything, so, it took a while, just like it had when I first took up the anglos (following me, still?). So, in the meantime, I forgot all about the english ones. Ugh.

Now, I'm in a place where I take on the french ones daily and have reintroduced the english ones. Got to re-learn everything again.

I love crosswords. But I'm not good at any of them anymore. But that's OK. Room for improvement is room for enjoyment as far as I'm concerned.

As a little kid, my best friend's Mom would the T.V. Guide Crosswords. Easy, even for a child but they got me started.

Here is a link to the WSJ puzzles, you might like to try some.

I am lousy at time management. Which is also important at my workplace.
I am also bad at mathematics and second languages. Happily, these things are not important at my workplace.

Huh! Interesting.

Here I was thinking it was because he works out at sea and that out there, on a clear day, the horizon is a perfect skyrim! So he stares out at sea most of the time?

Good at: learning trivia about pop culture, and learning things that have little to no practical application in the real world.
Bad at: finances, planning, things that require determination and commitment in general.

I plead guilty on that one as well. The less relevant, the more interesting it sometimes seems.
