You know me well enough on FB, I've been relatively quiet this year. The Red Sox aren't supposed to be here. It was supposed to be some mix of the Yankees, Astros, Rays, and Blue Jays in the AL play-offs. I expected to be tuning in to watch the Mets lose to the Braves in the first round of the playoffs and get some sleep.
It's pretty obvious to me now that Alex Cora has decided that they will stick around through November. Jeez what a display of hitting. It's not Tampa Bay or Houston's pitching, it's just that the Boston bats are peaking at exactly the right time... although there's been one notable exception... Xander Bogaerts. Does he get hot this week or not?

Oh and you might want to mute me for the next few days on FB, I'm about to get excited. ;)

I bailed at the 7th innings stretch last night. Boston looked near perfect in every aspect of the game. If they keep this up the next game at Minute Maid is in April next year. God thing I did change channels: that Bills vs Titans game was a lot of fun.

I am *longing* for a Dodgers/Sox series. It'll be epic! Hopefully the Blue will get out of the giant (small 'g') hole they've just dug for themselves.

So happy for Key-kay.

This also may be the last time ever that Dugie has a better year than Mookie.

I've mentioned this before, but when I saw Alex Verdugo playing in Oklahoma City in 2018, I knew he was a Ballplayer. He was just always in the right place at the right time. Already on a completely different level than all his teammates. The best baseball instincts I've seen in a minor league player. He came up that year and the rest is history.

The historic LF position guarding the Green Monster is in very good hands indeed.

I'm rooting for the Braves. Really hope the Dodgers and all their Magic Dollars go down in flames. I don't think it will happen, but it would be wonderful.

I still think it's gonna be Dodgers vs. Sox. Wishful thinking, probably, 'cause it's what I want. Should be a great series.

Like all mega-trades, the Mookie deal seems to have worked pretty well for both parties. Verdugo's going to patrol the monster for years. In the tradition of Williams, Yaz, Manny, etc.

Hall-of-Famer? Perhaps not. But if he can stay healthy, he'll have a hell of a career when it's all said and done.

Kee-Kay is more just having the streak of his career - he's not really this good - but he's sure having it at the right time. And he's incredibly fun to watch, even as an opponent.

So far so good. Valdez is pitching great for Houston and I think Sale can't go beyond 50 pitches.
If the Astros win game 5 I think it's lights out for Monday.
Of course, we're only in the 4th. I love baseball.

What a relief for them to get such a strong start from Framber and to have the team hitting and fielding again.
Gotta feel good about the chance to win one of two with the last at bat, but baseball is a crazy game and the Houston pitching still scares the shit out of me.

It reminds me of two years ago hanging with The Baron and Minnie at their house and watching the other games on the road. Hoping for a better outcome this time!

Last night was magical. Of course it ain't over til the fat lady sings but with Max Fried on the mound tonight I think the Braves could very well finish it off tonight. The Astros should be able to take 1 out of 2 but I agree with the Baron on their pitching. Wanted to get tickets for game 6 but at $600.00 a piece I rather watch it at home.

I was at game 7 of the 2017 ALCS, behind the right field foul pole, and it was one of the best days of my life at the time but I didn’t pay no $600 and it’s a rather more curdled memory for me now.

Yuck.

Don't make me have to change my signature, Dodgers!

Not exactly the best recipe for success, but that's often when they pull off the magic.
