True dat.

My uncle took me to some negro league ball games in the early 60s. Interesting times for sure.

I'm a lifelong Mets fan and a long time fan of Kevin Pillar .. I hope that he has a great year as well as the rest of the team.

It's early days but I'm happy with their new owner and the Lindor signing.

Joe Musgrove, San Diego native, pitched the first no hitter in Padres history!

That's incredible that it's the first in their history. I like Joe Musgrove a lot from the days he played in Houston. I watched about a half inning of that ballgame, but just so I could see the top of the San Diego order hit.

Maybe one of these days, we can go out to SD and catch a ballgame. I've never been out there!

Dying to go back to San Diego. Lovely stadium.

The one in San Francisco is lovely too, but the team that plays there is not very interesting competition, currently.

Let the rivalry begin!

Dodger Stadium is the Big Kahuna on my list of places I haven't gone. I can't wait to get out there and aim to do it in the next few years.
I'm sure I've told it before but I went out there in the late 90s particularly to visit Dodger Stadium (while Houston was there) and the game I was going to see was rained out. The odds are against a rainout at Dodger Stadium. Bad luck.

Aren't there two stadia in Chicago? There used to be, didn't there? Wrigley field and, erm, .... somewhere else.

Comiskey Park. Actually, I think it has one of those horrific corporate sponsor names now.
It’s a recent build. Before that, the original Comiskey Park was a truly madcap, old time ballpark. So much soul.

Other towns with two professional baseball teams include New York and Los Angeles.

Thanks.

I had to go and do some research and was bemused to find that the current name is Guaranteed Rate Field. That is indeed horrific.

Contrary to the name of the team, Anaheim is not in any respect Los Angeles, city or county. They're no more the same city (in fact less, as far as I'm concerned) than San Francisco and Oakland.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Four: the Bay Area.

The Los Angeles Angels played in LA for a number of years (Chavez Ravine!) before moving to a new stadium in Anaheim. Then the name was changed to California Angels, and about 30 years later to Anaheim Angels. This is something Disney wanted. Believe they are the majority owners. Then, not that long ago, they were renamed again to Los Angeles Angels. I’m not sure why. Maybe sentimental reasons? What I do know is that for some sort of bureaucratic reason the change was disputed which is why the official name is Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

A few years ago I was in San Diego for a week (work related). I managed to see 2 games. Beautiful park, great location. San Diego is the best US city I’ve ever been to, hands down. Also, not many people know this, it never seems to rain in Southern California

Saw Kershaw pitch the other day. Looked like he was 90 as well.
