Good going! I've been watching that Stanley Tucci Italy show as well. Italy is my favorite place and it's definitely wetting my appetite. After I had to cancel three trips last spring, I really lost the urge to even think about traveling. But now with the vaccines rolling out, it does become more a possibility.

Baron is obsessed with that programme too. I think it’s why I keep dreaming of Italians with no nipples.

I’VE NEVER EVEN BEEN.
I’m loathe to use the term “bucket list,” but the mosaics in Ravenna are on mine.

California just announced 50+ can get vaxxed starting April 1st. Hopefully not an April Fool's Day joke.

I am signing up THE SECOND IT'S AVAILABLE.

I'm sure I can trust Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, and Jeff Bezos when they say it's safe. :D

And I believe all those 16 and up can get jabbed as of April 15th. Wonderful stuff.

Got mine yesterday.
I learnt the hard way that it's something you probably shouldn't celebrate publicly; a lot of people will see it as unseemly gloating as they, or older relatives, haven't had it yet.
Fair enough. (though I did feel like punching the air when I came out)
But one thing I was pleased about: I was in a mixed queue of 60 to 65 year-olds and younger frontline workers. When I got the entrance the guard insisted I show him my credentials as a frontline worker because he wouldn't believe I was old enough for the other group.
I basked in the glow of that compliment for a while.
Bugger off.

Nice! I would bask as well if I were the recipient.

Good for you Tym. I'm happy for you personally and even happier that Spain's on the way out of this mess. It's been tougher than in most places over there. My wife's parents have a little vacation home near Valencia where they spent their winters. They got trapped there in March 2020. Were only allowed to return to The Netherlands after the summer. They told us how strict the rules and regulations were. No fun. For once I'm glad to be in Texas and not in Europe. In Houston they're making great progress. Looks like they've got way too many doses of all the available vaccines and are just focused on shooting up as many possible as quickly as they can. I have 2 daughters who still live at home (31 & 16). They weren't supposed to be eligible until somewhere in May. They put themselves on the waitlist a couple of weeks ago. And today both got appointments for April 9th. My older daughter's husband is getting his 2nd Pfizer shot on Monday (he's a high school teacher) so soon everybody in my household except my 3-year old granddaughter will have been vaccinated. Looking forward to summer now!

That is excellent news.
In fact, I didn't mind the strict lockdown early last year; it really brought the number of cases down. Then they relaxed it ...

I hope Spain is on its way out of this mess, but I'm not sure. The UK and the USA seem to be doing far better when it comes to giving people the vaccine.
Bugger off.

love to all. and hope.

(i love boomers got the vax, mwhaha.)

the local pharmacy called sam this morning. we have no idea how it happened or why. but me, chi chi and sam are all gettin our second shots this friday, ahead of schedule. like we're gonna look a gift shot in the mouth. er... yeah.

so i'm gonna call attila's place across the river, just to see if there's an actual push to get folk in earlier than their dates. doesn't hurt a damn thing to check. as it is, he's scheduled for his second shot on april 11th. then again, i was scheduled for the 9th, and i'm going a week early.

sumthin is happening here is what. if i had to guess, i'd say an influx of vaccines.

whatever it is, it's really fucquin good.

My arm is less sore today than yesterday. May be down to better technique or a more relaxed arm muscle. Still, so far, so good. My arm pain went away within about three days on the first one.
