Like most Northern Californians I'm betting, I count LA as anything south of Ventura and north of Huntington Beach. And everything east of Ontario and Riverside.

It's all LA.

In some ways Camarillo is very much a suburb of LA.

In others it's basically Twin Peaks South.

I've been following Wendy Davis on Facebook for a while. She seems really interesting. I wonder what her political future holds.

Using a carefully constructed points system, I select California.

Mainly because of the -1,00,0000,000 points awarded to the Fort Worth sink of ignorance.

The Hannah-Barbera cartoon character, Quickdraw McGraw, his name doesn't work in Danish, so we have dubbed him "Texas Jack". Not very original, but there you go...

But that same majority tolerates a tiny vocal minority of wingnuts and enables them by not participating. It's depressing, to say the least. Texas has huge problems, including the future for water and transportation infrastructure, but the politicians aren't interested in spending any money and are, in fact, hell bent on slashing an already spartan state government.

You definitely win a point for that one. You said 'including' so your list isn't exclusive, and your general point was spot on.

Which only goes to prove how tragically foreseeable these things often are.
Bugger off.
