It does depend of course, but any meal that starts with garlic bread is going to be a good one!

Yes, it's still great - best pizza ever - although it's been a year or so since I took the bambinos (they love kids the Italians!)

As much as I love bread - with olive oil, with butter, as garlic toast - I find it too filling as an app. I really love a Caesar salad, or soup. LOVE soup. Best soup I ever had was a creamy cold cucumber cocoction. Magnifique.

At our local Turkish restaurant, they have a chopped salad platter that includes hummus. Freshest pita ever.

With Thai food, I like those wee crispy spring rolls with finely chopped shrimp, ground pork and veggies. That's the only time I'll eat shrimp.

Mexican - nachos with chili con queso and pico de gallo. Best ones ever were in south Texas.
