Disc review! (I can’t remember which month!)

Postby Minnie the Minx » 03 Nov 2018, 15:05

Mix Club team - sorry for my epic ball dropping this year. We moved house and then I got pretty ill, and lots of things we had planned got backed up.
Life is normal again now so next weekend I will be listening to Ange's disc and making my disc to send to whoever my recipient was.
Sorry again. x

Glad you're feeling better.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

My late review (can't remember what month it was from!)

Postby Minnie the Minx » 11 Nov 2018, 01:13

Ok, here's my review Fange!
1. Smashing guitary girl vocal thing, super! No idea who it is at all!
2. Another punky thing, about leather and shit, and it's great, and I don't know who it is!
3. Hmm, here's a sweet and slower number, very atmospheric. Sounds almost Roy Harperish. But who is it??
4. Rock n roll! But who? And from what year? *scratches chin*
5. Punk! Fabulous. But who?
6. Another fast paced great punky funky stuff, with particularly appealing vocals. But who is it??
7. Hmmm... can't tell if this is an older style plea for peace or a newer one trying to sound old... but who is it?
8. Another 90s sounding female vocal new wavey thing that I like, but I have no idea at all who it is
9. A SONG I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill Withers :D
10. A song about Gene Hackman, that isn't by Robyn Hitchcock! Hmmm. I like it though! A lot!
11. Another song I know! ESG- It's Alright 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)
12. Ooh now, this is a gorgeous little number. I like it! But who is it???
13. Hmmm, nice soulful slower number... but who?

FANGE! I owe you thanks for patience and for making such a cute disc sleeve and for making such a fantastic disc! I can't wait for the reveal! And now, to go and make my very late mix disc!

Oh, I think you're in for a treat if you haven't heard the Donnas or the Pagans' 70s singles much - those two especially are right up your alley, I reckon!
