Hayley Mills, child star of the 1960s

Postby GoogaMooga » 04 Sep 2021, 07:01

Hayley Mills, the goody two shoes child star of Disney's 1960s live action films, has her memoirs out soon. If you ever had a crush on her like I did, this is great news. Especially all the inside dope on the film business. Among the many serious and more mature roles she had to turn down because of her Disney contract, was the role of Lolita in the Stanley Kubrick film. That role instead went to Sue Lyon, and I think I prefer it that way. Hayley Mills left Disney in 1969, and took on more serious and daring roles after that. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/hay ... 07969.html

'65. You made me look it up, because I knew she did The Family Way in '66, and I couldn't imagine Walt approving of that!

Yahoo was wrong, then. But it makes sense if Walt died in 66.
