Anyone watched this yet?
Having been a huge fan of Citizen Kane and read quite a few books on the film's making and Orson Welles' pre- and post-Kane career, I was really looking forward to this.
While it's gorgeously art directed and shot, the script was so clunky (way too much exposition) I found myself drifting off to sleep about halfway through. While will doubtless go back and give it another go, it will be with considerably less enthusiasm than I approached it first time around.

You're not alone. I gave up halfway through too. I doubt I'll give it another go.

I thought it was very good but not brilliant. The nods to scenes in Kane were well done and it looked gorgeous. I thought the acting was too notch especially Oldman. Much better than the performance he won an Oscar for. The guy playing Welles got the voice bang on.
