I found a shed load of Arena documentaries on YouTube- and they are all in pretty good nick. It was always my memory that I used to watch it pretty religiously, but I remember very few of these, and I imagine some of them were aired at a time when I lived in punko houses without televisions. They really are worth digging into- Orson Welles, Louise Brooks, Brian Eno, George Orwell (the six parter of which we are working through now) are just fabulous.
This wonderful episode on Blackpool made so bloody happy.

I have good memories of Arena - that and The South Bank Show.
