What’s with no Schitt’s Creek thread?

Postby Minnie the Minx » 28 Jun 2021, 14:52

We were late to the Schitt’s Creek party but now we are never leaving!
What a wonderful creation this show is- despite the unnerving way Moira Rose is a more benevolent version of my mother!

We have just started season 2- and it’s splendid.

Don’t you agree?

It's on Netflix in the States.

Got to the end of season two and felt it was creaking a bit by then. Never bothered with it beyond that.
It's impressive how many fabulous female characters there are.

I think I'm about 5 or 6 episodes into it. It's certainly funny so far, but I'm guessing it gets a lot better from the way people rave about it.

I've probably seen about 50% of the episodes across all seasons and after having been very skeptical with the first couple of episodes and the overall set-up, I was won over pretty quickly. I'm quite happy to dip into a random episode if i'm a bit bored and lost for something to do in the evening, rather than following the arc of the show. Some great work has gone into that series to create interesting characters.

I find some of the characters fascinating, especially the women. But they are often fascinating in a horrible way so I can see where you're coming from.

I had trouble with it at first, especially Moira but I kept watching and became a big fan. The relationship arcs are interesting and the personalities that I didn’t care for became favorites in their own quirky ways. Stevie is a riot. The only one that I haven’t really warmed up to is the Roland Schitt character. I get that he’s supposed to be gross and annoying and he’s probably necessary for the mix but I find him so slappable.

Saw it ages ago when it was first aired, brilliant series, shame it ended. Loved all the characters and all their eccentricities, particularly fond of the character Stevie.

Now I'm embarassed. I've never seen Schitt's Creek. I was mixing it up with Ozark.

That’s a great series as well, they’re doing another one I believe.

I enjoyed the first two seasons but couldn't be arsed with the third for some reason.

You ought to, without giving anything away, the ending is dramatic.
