...and now I love it so much it's hard to imagine that there was a time not so long ago that I hadn't heard it. Definitely #1 for album. Song could be something from this ("She Was Tall, She Was High" maybe) or "Baron Saturday." Or maybe "Come and See Me." What an amazing band, at least for about 5 years.

I think that's true. It stands out for some people, so it's always commented on as a big deal, but it's just a small group of people really enjoying a particular thing.

There are probably more than a few closet Pretties fans around here, people who like them but don't really talk about them that much. I'd include myself in that group - i've got 5 albums i think, and really enjoy all of them quite a bit, but because i came to the group later in life they aren't a band i consider among my absolute '60s faves.
