BCB 100 - Scott Walker
I've just got Scott 3. Don't see quite what the fuss is about, but it's at least interesting in theory. The one song that really stands out on that for me is "Rosemary".

I only have Scott 4, Tilt and The Drift. I'd be lying if I said I preferred either of the latter two to Scott 4, however interesting they may be. Not sure I have a favourite song, probably On Your Own Again.
I guess I should get Scott 3 though.

Even accepting the premise that people have different tastes. This is the most ridiculous statement i have ever read on a music board. I shall look at you in a different light mr Coan.

I'll accept Scott 4 is a fine album. Like I said, there are two amazing songs there. And the rest really is rather good. But I can't get with his other output. There's no root melody to much of it, and they dress it up with all manner of expensive shit - harps and horns and that - but it's all so meandering and boring. I'm longing for a great swoop of accessible tune in the vocal, or something - never comes. Lots of talent there, but too much dancing around and avoiding aspects that make all the great pop so loveable.
