Re: Everton
A 96th minute equaliser at home to Watford.... I think we dserved a point but that wasn't brilliant. Two points from three games.. and a brutal rest of the month... We may need a good January.

Mina looks like a lumbering card machine. Sort of fun and horrific at the same time I imagine.

He was very lucky - that was a definite foul outside the box in the first half and could have been a straight red . He'd already been booked - the ref didn;t even give the foul.

The crowd mood today seemed strangely subdued - even after the win. What’s all that about?

There is a lot of discontent - and, despite the win, Everton were extremely unconvincing yesterday. Silva keeps picking an extremely unbalanced side, where similar players are tripping over eachother in midfield, whilst we are lacking in other areas. I'm not sure how Everton have allowed a situation to develop where we haven't had a centre forward that the manager is confident in - over a period of 18 months, nonetheless- and not addressed the problem. And until we do, we're going to be toothless and with no outlet for all the 'ball players' we keep selecting. Although if one of those talents is Gomes, god help us - I've seen him the past five or six weeks give the ball away with seemingly every touch he takes. Give him a break - put him on the bench and try something different ffs.
We're rudderless and I'm still not convinced that Silva is the answer.

Re: Everton
There's something about Silva's demeanor on the touchline, he's got a strange teenage half-sulk. It's as if he's trying to pretend he's not bothered, it's not his fault, he shouldn't have been given a professional team to manage anyway. Everton seem to be worse than they've been for some time, I'm really unconvinced that Silva has any idea what he's doing.

Re: Everton
I remain as skeptical about him as I was on his appointment. I've seen nothing whatsoever to suggest he's the guy to take us anywhere. I may be wrong, and managers often improve dramatically in their second season, but he will need to. In fact, he needs to find a few results pretty quickly before we find ourselves on the fringes of the bottom three.

Yeah I think you've appointed a dud. There's no signs of progress that I can see, the players look like absolute strangers to each other - no organisation in defence and no effective combination play in the final third. Probably no point in sacking him now, but they should be actively scouting potential managers/coaches to make the change in the summer.

Re: Everton
Yep.
The back four and the keeper play like they've just been introduced to eachother in the car park, the midfield are completely dysfunctional and we somehow haven't managed to replace Lukaku in over 18 months.
That's pathetic.

Well, you're very unlikely to win.
Just how obvious will it be that the team won't even try?

True dat.
There was a moment when I thought you'd got a decent manager, but there's something not right at he's the obvious target.

Just a thought, but isn't Big Sam Allardyce currently "between positions"?

He may have had a chance had he not , since his departure, publicly broadcast about how badly he'd been treated by the club.
