Didn’t see that. No mention of DS in subject line so
posted a new thread.

Is this going to be a weekly update, one wonders?
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

As these seem to only occasionally get posted in the various team threads, why not consolidate them all in one place?

Not vintage Mr S - still he sets such high standards, he's allowed the odd off-week. Took me ages to figure out the dancer was Teresa May and not Alan Partridge

The caricatures are brilliant, but sometimes the references are too obscure to work. Of course the comments section are full of smug types congratulating themselves that they've got the references.

I agree: I’m a fan, I think the strips are often hilarious and he’s very clever with the running jokes and how he works pop culture in, but sometimes - perhaps especially as I live abroad and am not exposed to UK TV, adverts and media as much - the references baffle me. This week’s had me scratching my head quite a bit.

I literally have no idea what the bottom left panel is on about. Lonsdale?
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Lonsdale is a sports brand owned by Ashley. They did kits for a number of teams like Blackburn and Birmingham about a decade ago.
