Fair comment. Five high quality international forwards isn't really enough.

Who are the five - Kane, Ali, Song, Lamela and Erikson presumably? Of those only Kane and Erikson are elite level players. If you can stop Eriksson supplying the bullets you can go a long way to stopping Spurs.

I forgot Lamela. You missed out Lucas Moura. 'Eliteness' is a matter of opinion, but I respect yours, even if it is wrong :) .

Moura rather than Lamela I suspect?

(Have another go at the Dane’s name. 3rd time lucky.)

Brave of Alex Song to crossover from Arsenal to Spurs, I never heard much fuss. Or was it Rigobert?

Kane, Ericksen and (maybe) Son would pass. Lamela, Ali, Moura are certainly not elite level players. As most everyone knows very well.

"the one where Diamond Dog tries and fails to get me to pick up his poos".

But you have me on ignore! How do you know what I'm writing?

By the way - those four examples of your manager's genius subs - if I'm so wide of the mark, maybe you can explain what i'm seeing wrong.

Of course, if you were able to read it, you clown.

Hah. That was pleasing, even if, like all the group stage matches, I didn't actually see it

Interesting subs No 5 :

Take off Walker-Peters (Right Back) replace with Lamela (midfield/forward) 61 mins
Take off Son (midfield/forward) replace with Moura (midfield/forward) 71 mins
Take off Winks (midfield) replace with Llorente (forward) 83 mins.

Score in 85th minute to get a draw at Barcelona to qualify for last 16.

He's getting better at this - maybe he's taking advice from 'someone'.

I know it was 'only Tranmere', but largest away win in 136 years of competitive football is worth mentioning.

Nice for them to come to Merseyside and be on the other end of a 7:0 drubbing, ;)

A magical afternoon, though games with that sort of score aren't as entertaining or rewarding as a hard fought win.

Well, I still have not seen a second of Champions League football this season.but even the Guardian minute by minute was exciting. Hurrah. I really love this team, best they have had in more than half a century, perhaps longer.

Spurs well beaten by Burnley today, especially in the second half, Burnley we're just quicker and stronger everywhere. Pochettino was out of order at the end given how dodgy Spurs goal was.

Well I never. I was utterly stressed just following it on the Guardian Minute by minute report. God knows how I'd have got though watching it.

So - one sent off in the first half, another absolutely should have gone too, plus three bookings. Manager substitutes two of the three booked at the interval- clearly to avoid another sending off and must have told the players to go sensibly- and then one of those that come on gets himself sent off in less than two minutes. Priceless.
