The 49ers picking up Emmanuel Sanders is a great move to bolster their weak receiving corps.

The Patriots have their first real test of the season when they visit the Ravens this weekend.... I quietly fancy Baltimore to upset the applecart.

I backed them straight up Frank - the Pats were 2.5 point favourites.

Sorry Frank but I had to post this preview of The Chargers at Oakland (from Pro Football Focus. ):

Let’s not forget that the Chargers lost to Joe Flacco, Duck Hodges and Ryan Tannehill, and then beat Mitch Trubisky by one. If you add this all up, they lost to about two-thirds of a quarterback and beat a team that doesn’t even have one. Derek Carr isn’t creeping into a top-tier quarterback range, but he at least gets to play the position without being laughed at. In fact, Carr is avoiding negatively graded throws (our most stable quarterback metric) at the third-best rate in the NFL this season behind only Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. Meanwhile, Rivers has made more turnover-worthy plays (third-most in the league) than he has children, and his two offensive tackles move as well as the traffic on the I-10 through downtown Los Angeles.

Alabama- LSU was terrific! The Tigers really stomped a mudhole in the Tide-defense in the first half before they were put under the pump in the second. No perfect game by either side but some heck of plays being made...

Good to see Clemson back in the title hunt too.

Well I know it was only the Bungles last night but...jeepers, Jackson and the Ravens are scaring the crap out of D coordinators throughout the league at present.

I think Lamar has put to rest the opinion that he’s not a passing QB. I’m on the J-train to the Super Bowl. Probably the kiss of death.

Just about as much as the Falcons and the Saints. It should be an interesting game in Atlanta tonight.

Despite some sloppy play .. the Saints won last night. :D

The New Orleans Saints have clinched the NFC South division title with a 26-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Thanksgiving night. This marks the third consecutive season that the Saints have won the NFC South, the best such streak in franchise history.

We have what looks to be the game of the season coming up tomorrow, when the Ravens host the 49ers (in what many see as a Superbowl preview).

How do we see that going?

I would imagine if there was a D to stop the Ravens run game, SF would be it. So does it boil down to whether the 49ers can stop Jackson/Ingram (and, even then, will that be enough) or is it going to come down to whether SF can run the ball well enough to take the pressure off of Jimmy G and allow him the time to get his receiving corps in synch?

Should be a great match up - this is the first time in (I think) ten years that a 10-1 team goes into a game as underdogs... will that motivate the 49ers too?

Watershed game for sure.
As good as the Niners have been all season, there is still that unbelief that they can up it to that same balanced level that the Ravens seem to have. Lamar is the bigger x-factor that Garoppolo and he has found ways to score that are beggaring belief.

5am start for that game....gotta get up early.

That was a tough game. Although they lost the 9ers will probably take more from the game. Lamar didn’t have a long run and the rushing game was pretty effective.

Cracking game. I think the 49ers will feel they can certainly hold their own with the Ravens should they meet in the Superbowl. Their run game shredded Baltimore and, with better conditions, I think Garropollo would do better too. However - the Ravens have a unique talent in Jackson and lord knows how you stop him effectively over the course of a game. He is very very special.

Terrific game indeed. Only one missed kick in it.

The Panthers have fired Ron Rivera as Head Coach. I'm afraid that has been on the cards since the second half of last season - they've been very patient with him but, in the end, they're going backwards. Quickly.
