Really entertaining draw in the North London derby today. Highlight for me was Lacazette's goal - three first time touches of absolute perfection.
However - neither team can defend for shit. Appalling decision making throughout. They still look likely to take third and fourth place though, which will be all they're looking for.

Yep.
It was as end to end as any game I've seen for years. The battle for top four is fascinating this year.

It was a great game, and yeah, Lacazette's goal was jaw dropping.

Liverpool will have a blip as sure as eggs is eggs and City will make up some ground. I wouldn't want to predict anything though, Liverpool have had the title in their grasp at least twice before and missed out so I wouldn't rule anything out right now. Leicester and Chelsea are currently looking like very good value to round out a top 4.

Interestingly Betfred have already paid out on my small investment (they were 11/4 by the time I backed them), and I believe at least one other bookie has done likewise. They obviously think the title is over and we've not reached half way yet!

If no more games can be played, I would just end it as it stands. Even though it is tight, none of the bottom three are showing form suggesting they will be safe any time soon. The teams placed 6 - 11, other the Spurs, are showing decent form suggesting they could challenge for fourth or fifth, but then Man Utd and Chelsea are doing alright too. Of the top 5 Leicester are in the poorest form, but they are 10 points clear of sixth place, and 8 points ahead of Man Utd. So no-one could really complain.

I'd pretty much agree with this as a last alternative but I'm in favour of continuing whenever possible and delay next season if necessary. Karen Brady's suggestion of scrapping the season and making it null and void is somewhat self serving (basically: "my team is doing crap so let's just scrap it and start over") and massively unfair on those teams that are on the point of achieving something - not least Liverpool, but also those hoping for promotion and those with a good chance to win the Champions' League too.

For me it makes more sense to let this season reach its conclusion whenever that may be. Far better to finish a season that is three quarters through and scrap the next season before a ball is kicked.

Incredibly Rooney made a salient point.. playing later may give us a chance to naturally realign the calendar for the winter World Cup in Qatar.

Do you honestly believe your opinion would be the same if Arsenal were in the bottom three? Genuinely.

Of course not! It wouldn't even be the same if Liverpool hadn't lost already.
I am interested in Chigley's point though - finish this one off whenever, and abandon next season if necessary.

Surely the aim has to be to complete the league. Cancel the cups if need be. And that means all four divisions - finances being the issue in the lower leagues obviously. But find a way. Then resume next season when you can. This must surely be the aim throughout all of EUFA ?

Well now, that was very impressive from Man Utd.
Which is ok from me as it was against a Conte team.
Confirms that Ronaldo has nothing much more to offer bar the occasional 10 minute cameo, if that, seeing as he walked off down the tunnel before the end of the game.
What a little bitch.
Ten Hag has said he will deal with him tomorrow.
He clearly has the trust and admiration of the rest of the squad (and supporters) now, so there will be nobody taking CR7’s side which, personally, I think is great.

Liverpool’s midfield are too old and too young. They can’t deal adequately with high press high energy teams who get right in their faces.
And although Nunez will score goals he lacks elite football intelligence.
Leeds are a great watch when they are on it and no chance they will go down.
I think it was Hasselbank who said that Liverpool used to do what Leeds did to them tonight, but better, because they had better players, but they can’t do that anymore. Big rebuild needed.

And yet they're only 10/11 for a Top Four finish this season. Favoured more than Spurs(evens) , Chelsea (11/8) and Newcastle (5/2). Man Utd are 5/6.
