Yes a horrible cover - I think the Americans call that vest a 'wife beater' - a horrible term

To be honest I’ve not really clicked with the Moodies before but thought I’d give them another try and have thoroughly enjoyed these 2 this week. Weird how something sticks in yer mind from some distant past and it’s takes a new open mind (and you never really know when the mood is going to be right for that to kick in) and suddenly there it is!
At the moment I seem to be getting that from Radio Caroline.

Cracking debut release today from Dutch band (with connections to Silhouette)... similar in style but a bit more guitar which I like.
Most enjoyable.

i am so glad yer enjoying it. the moodies tie with tull for the most concerts i have seen live. double digits. lovelovelove.
and you are right. sometimes. ya need to give some band/artist anuther listen.
(i hated kate bush back in the day. she just rubbed me all the wrong ways then. now? i think she's fab. whatever you think of kate, the point remains. sometimes, it makes a difference to give someone anuther shot. ya.)
p.s. my fave moody blues album is seventh soujourn. but i also love on the threshold of a dream, okay. it gets complicated after that, mwhahaha. i love days of future passed, to our children's children's chlldren's childrennn's whateverrr.
ya know what i think? you need the front seven. ya.

Like you said LR, never really clicked with them before during their heyday but, during the great vinyl throwaway, I was curious as to why so many people liked them so picked up many of their albums dirt cheap at boot fairs and such. Well, you have to give albums a listen don't you, even when you have bought them for a few pennies and gradually I began to like what I was listening to. Wouldn't say they are a great favourite of mine but I've got time for them every now and then.
Initially it was all the pretentious spoken twaddle that put me off them but now I manage to blank it off. Think Kath is right - 'the front seven' is what you need from Days of Future ..... through to Seventh ... The first couple in their discography were from a different band.
In fact might just give them a play today now that my memory has been stirred.

Re: REAP CORNER
I bought all their albums from " In search of the lost chord" (my favourite) up to "A question of balance" before coming to the conclusion that they were dull and uninspiring. Horses for courses.

It took you quite a while.
They are dull and inspiring but there's something there that appeals just at the right time.

Not sure that I've ever played this before.

I've got a couple of Luka Bloom albums (I was a massive Christy fan) - I'll search your recommendation out Bob - thanks

My two favorites of their later (of the original seven) albums.

Dreamy, hard rocking at times, power pop, laid back harmony vocals - a good album from this trio.
