That was disappointing

After the track with the classroom video I was expecting a bit more.

It was too repetitious and I only managed 5 minutes.

Is she the woman in the video...?

If she was really fucked up she wouldn't be writing it in lipstick but carving it into her limbs like the bloke from Manic Street Preachers.

Fucked Up...?

Bloody lightweights

Thought I’d give Caravan another go following Matt’s excellent write up/review so I listened to these two:

Whilst ‘Grey and Pink’ was pleasant enough and I would happily listen to it again, I wasn’t over impressed with ‘Plump’ in fact took it off after a while, poor vocals spoilt it.

Premiata Forneria Marconi ‎– Storia Di Un Minuto
My first PFM album, and it's pretty good! They sing in Italian of course, so they could be going on about sex with farm animals for all I know, but the music is ace and the performances are fab.

Some of the PFM albums have been released in both Italian and English

I have both of all those available but always prefer the former

What synchronicity C. I played Blue Train this morning followed by Miles Davis’ Ascenseur Pour L’echafaud. Love the haunting quality of that one.

A couple of albums by Al Stewart that aren’t Year of The Cat, Time Passages or Love Chronicles.

Good albums.

I once read his voice described as 'prissy'

For some reason, 50 years on, I have never forgot that

Odd. I am not a massive fan

New Iron Maiden album today.

Listened to 50 mins on the way to work (about half the album) and it is relentlessly Maiden. All tracks kind of sound the same. Book of Souls had some interesting style changes, this one so far doesn't.

A friend of mine has a collection of virtually everything, if not everything, Iron Maiden has ever produced, all the records, special editions, box sets, merchandise, figurines, everything. The whole collection must be worth a very tidy sum. He likes heavy metal. Mind you he did used to work on a submarine for months and months at a time so I guess that might explain it.

I don't like them at all.

For those interested the 2nd half is much better - the last 3 tracks, Death Of the Celts, The Parchment and Hell on Earth are right up my street.
