Following on from yesterday's excellent Pentangle LL, possibly the most folkiest of their albums with all tracks 'traditional'- it contains a marvellous 18.5 minute version of Jack Orion replete with electric guitar!

Robust stuff?

I think so

My favourite as well. Not 100% successful.....side 4 is very hit and miss, but three sides are damn near perfect.

I was looking at that Pale Horizon compilation yesterday. A strange mixture of the well known and incredibly obscure!

Would have really liked it as a single album. It has my favourite Zep tunes.
Like I asked on the other thread: why are there 3 LP's?

I really like those Cherry Red, Grapevine and Esoteric Recordings psych/progressive/prog clamshell boxes. some of the choices are really obscure but on the whole pretty good - haven't regretted buying any of them yet. All under the Cherry Red Records moniker.

There is a whole LP of studio outtakes as well as the two usual ones, not essential but okay if you like that sort of thing.

Around 2014/15 all the albums were remastered and Page dug out studio outtakes for each one and released them all, each with an extra outtakes LP, nice to have but not essential.

The one where Hogarth Marillion clicked for me, which is odd perhaps as it’s not the easiest.

It is very nice, although it's a shame it didn't come in a clamshell box like the others, nevertheless, Cherry Red rescinded and went back to using clamshell boxes after many complaints.

Definitely - I've played all 6 albums over the last few days

I'm going to start a Pentangle thread this afternoon based on a comment LMG made at last week's PSL of Basket of Light

It has Branford Marsalis guesting on sax which is a delight

You won't be the only one who's still got CDs bought years ago still wrapped in cellophane C. I can think of four that I've got!
