Superb!

A great band and I love Cope’s solo stuff including the ‘krautrock’ stuff

An excellent pianist

However, it’s a bit early for me - I kick in around 1957, this lad was pushing up daisies by then

Another one I put on my Decent Enough playlist back in 2019 - in this case after 1 play, so I must have liked it well enough.

However for some reason I had completely forgotten them and this is the 1st play since!

Bought this lovely artefact when it was originally released but don’t play the albums that often as they are very different to the U.K. ones. It is a beautifully presented box though, wouldn’t be without it - it’s almost as if you’re in a parallel time. Can’t help thinking the Americans got a bad deal, same with the Stones’ early albums, still what you don’t know about you don’t worry about I guess.

They’ve just released a vinyl 1964 set which celebrates the Beatles’ arrival and huge success in the States during that period. It’ll set you back a penny shy of £240 if anyone’s interested.

Who cut your hair, son? Jeez, get your money back and sue! Great bassist, for sure, but drove Jeff Beck mad. Was going to be in Jeff's band, but preferred to practice 8 hours a day rather than sit in with the band. " All technique and not an ounce of soul" was a Jeff quote.

Alternative covers for this one - which one do you prefer?

The sticker cover photo.

You know the story about the butcher’s cover and how they were forced to change it first by covering them up with a sticker cover photo and then finally they had to change the cover photo, well in the U.S. albums set they actually give you the sticker photo as an alternative to the butcher’s cover - now that’s attention to detail. Love that.

Like the cover art for this, can’t remember what it sounds like though, supposed to be one of his better ones I seem to remember, haven’t played it for years.
