NEW MUSIC

Good consistent band. Never quite set my pulse racing though. Very good live.

Great album cover though, reminds me of one of those old blues album covers.

Not sure what it is about Steve Hackett, the albums are fine but something is missing for me.

I tend to find that there are usually one or two outstanding tracks, plus a lot of padding. Also, too many guest vocalists stopped the albums having an identity. However, "Star of Sirius" is magnificent. Rumour had it that quite a few tracks were submitted by Steve for inclusion on Genesis albums, but Fuhrer Tony didn't like having no input

I entirely agree lad- Please Don't Touch! is a good example

However, the featured album wasn’t the case - Steve, Phil and Sally O only

Also, on Spectral Mornings Steve takes all the lead vocals and on Defector only Pete Hicks

So there

"Voyage" is by far my favourite. Re Spectral ....Steve on vocals ....see many a post share with Rob bemoaning fact that an adequate vocalists deters from the quality of the material

Just. Although Bad Company's debut may be better than the above

Only got as far as the title track before home time, but every track up to then is a corker.

The first two Bad Company albums are definitely up there with the best Free albums, the rest diminishing returns.

Incidentally what do you consider to be the best Free albums Chris?
