Wobbly

After breaking up in May 1971 due to differences between singer Paul Rodgers and bassist Andy Fraser, the band had reformed in January 1972.

All members of the band made a concerted effort to work efficiently for guitarist Paul Kossoff's sake as he was suffering due to his drug addiction. In a symbolic gesture all tracks were credited to every member of the band regardless of who actually wrote them

They tried but sadly Koss had a self-destruct button

A great guitarist - a shame

.

It was a shame, nevertheless, although rather a disappointment at the time this album has improved over the years.

Agreed.

Interestingly, their final album Heartbreaker may have been better with Tetsu and Rabbit, no Fraser and a part-time Koss...

After all, it contained Wishing Well

Back with this Beefheart album this evening - such a brilliant album, it would have to be in any list of my all time favourites.

My favourite of his, by a mile. I'd have been quite happy if he'd have released a dozen albums in the same vein

It's been decades since I heard it. I played the CD while doing the dishes.
Would have made a brilliant EP. Don't like "Trust us" and "Kandy Korn".
I'm not a big fan of all that 'reverberation', which probably means Psychedelic Rock is not really for me.
It's one of my last CB purchases, primarily because he hated the album, from what I've read.
There's a big difference between kneeling down and bending over

Yes Muddy, I made that exact point a few weeks ago

Give me Trout Mask, Decals, Spotlight Kid and Clear Spot any day

Strictly Personal is one of my favorites, for sure... and the two tracks mudshark didn't like are my favorites!

This guy's vinyl rip is the best I've ever heard it sound.

Deep Purple's Machine Head has received yet another remix, courtesy of... Dweezil Zappa?

His remix of "SOTW" is certifiably different, but rather muddy to my ears.

Never heard of them before I heard a good track on Caroline last night. NZ melodic rock with prog influences, this album from 2011. (Made me think of The Dear Hunter and Feeder.) Jolly decent.

All singing, all dancing 50th Anniversary of this album out now for those interested.

Really good album, one of their very best. One band I would liked to have seen live but never did.
