Re: REAP CORNER
I love a bit of noise me.
From their first album from back in 1993.
The Nirvana influence is apparent as the young lads learn their craft and develop their unique sound.
A corker of a track, full of music with shedloads of bounce and noise!

Re: REAP CORNER
A wonderful record now playing:
I saw the lad and this band on the John Peel Show at The Paris Studios/Theatre
It is a real shame that so many of the concert tapes were reused and recorded over back in those days.
This is one I would love to have released for posterity.
An incredible gig with an incredible band. I was right at the front about 8 feet away from Graham where he played, on occasions, organ and saxophone at the same time. I had never seen that!
I also would've liked to hear Graham's between song ramblings to Peely about the dangers of dabbling with 'Black Magic' a reference and warning to both Black Sabbath and Black Widow!
It's criminal to think that so much great music was lost by over-recording tapes just to save a bit of money!
Such a talent and such a tragedy that he threw himself under a tube train, at Finsbury Park, three years later.
Check this album out - IT ROCKS!!

I like a bit of Golden Earring. Got Moontan and six others, which has just amazed me as I didn't realise I had so many, but not the other two you posted. Just looked through their catalogue they seem to have made a huge number of albums.

Need a little Zep every now and again, this fits the bill nicely.

NP [Original 1973 mix]
So much better than both the stripped down 1976 version and the remixed 2010 version.
Whatever was Oldfield thinking....?

Re: REAP CORNER
Solid album with some really nice melodies from Scottish prog band Comedy of Errors. Always a pleasant band to listen to.

Not as big a fan as C but they are a solid band - nothing very predictable about them and always slightly on the edge. 1st time I've played this one. Decent.

Re: REAP CORNER
I think C described them as "the mighty Audience" recently. I wouldn't go that far but it's a fine album.
I think this is the only album of theirs that I have ever played and don't recall seeing any others referenced on here. Which is their next best?

Friends Friends Friend and Lunch have been mentioned a few times here. Both are worthy but House On The Hill is probably their best.

Can't stand the Crunge, apart from that it's a fine album, not their best by any means though. How come you're showing a blue cover for this, is this the remastered version from 5 or 6 years ago now with some alternative tracks?

Yes, I have deleted The Crunge from my playlist as it happens!
And yes, it is the remaster with alternative mixes as bonus tracks.
Probably my 2nd fave after PG.
