What's Joe Jackson doing on that compie?
His stuff is more wine bar than pub, I think.

Eventually it was but the first three albums are pure new wave / power pop

New Rose isn't pub rock, surely? That's a great track, and as purely punk as the dayglo snow.

I'm guessing Sore Throat aren't the early grindcore band of the same name.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Rory McLeod probably drank in a lot of pubs but is a folky.
They might as well have included Lindisfarne if Rory is classed as Pub Rock.
